Honk!

Honk! Brass

Honk! Brass is an educational programme that tours schools in the Greater Wellington Region. A key objective of Wellington Brass Band is focused within community outreach that sees increased exposure to brass music. An ensemble of players from Wellington Brass Band present engaging programmes to inspire young children to take an active interest in musical performance.

Our outreach series responds with current New Zealand curriculum for Arts. We aim to erase the boundaries between the individual musical styles, but to show openness and love as a brass performers towards other idiom. We contribute to the unique bicultural and multicultural character of Aotearoa.
